People have been getting creative with the face mask craze due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Now, Disney is participating in the creativity.

People can purchase masks that feature Disney, Pixar, Marvel, and Star Wars characters.

Disney debuted the new face masks on Thursday, April 30, 2020. Disney also announced that it will donate up to $1 million in profits from the sales of the masks in the U.S. to MedShare, which is an Atlanta-based nonprofit that delivers medical supplies and equipment to communities worldwide.

Additionally, Disney is donating one million face masks to MedShare for children and families who are living in underserved communities across the U.S.

According to MedShare President and CEO Charles Redding, “Disney’s donations will make a tremendous impact in the communities we serve. Their contribution of one million Disney cloth face masks will be provided to families in underserved communities and organizations working to limit the spread of COVID-19, while their monetary donation will be used to support the medical community’s ongoing efforts to provide lifesaving care to those who need it most.”

The face masks come in small, medium, and large sizes. The Disney masks feature characters such as Mickey and Minnie Mouse, Anna and Elsa, Woody and Buzz Lightyear, The Avengers, and even Baby Yoda.

The face masks are available for preorder on the Disney website. It is estimated the masks will ship in June. They retail for $19.99 for a set of four.

The masks are in compliance with the FDA’s most recent recommendations on non-surgical, non-industrial grade face masks, reports Disney.

“We realize this is a challenging time for families and wearing any type of mask can be daunting. Our hope is that Disney’s cloth face masks featuring some of our most beloved characters will provide comfort to the families, fans, and communities that are so important to us,” stated Edward Park, who is the senior vice president of the Disney store and shopDisney.
